Day by Day Activities.

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. En route, we’ll pause at a viewpoint to admire the breathtaking scenery of the Rift Valley. Upon arrival in Nakuru, enjoy a delicious hot lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Situated southwards of Bogoria, Lake Nakuru is renowned as the Rift Valley’s most famous lake. Although once famed for its flamingos, the rising water levels led them to migrate to Lake Baringo and Bogoria. Nevertheless, Lake Nakuru remains a sanctuary for rhinos, boasting a population of over 40 black and 60 white rhinos. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2. Lake Nakuru National Park-Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, indulge in a delicious hot lunch before setting out for an afternoon game drive. Renowned as the most visited and arguably the most beautiful of Kenya’s game reserves, Masai Mara captivates with its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Spanning an area of 1,510 square kilometers (nearly 600 square miles) at an altitude of 1,650 meters (5,414 feet), it serves as the northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The name “Mara” originates from the Maasai language, meaning “spotted” or “dappled,” reflecting its mosaic of rolling grasslands, bush-covered hills, and lush riverine vegetation along the Mara River and its tributaries. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3. Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Today’s itinerary features a full-day game drive in Masai Mara, accompanied by a provided picnic lunch for convenience. Encounter members of the renowned “Big Five” – lions, leopards, African elephants, Cape buffaloes, and black rhinoceroses – as you traverse the expansive landscapes of the reserve. While the population of black rhinos faced a significant decline due to poaching in past decades, conservation efforts have led to a slow but steady increase in numbers. Witness large gatherings of hippos and crocodiles along the Mara and Talek Rivers, while leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes also call the reserve home. Experience the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, gazelles, topis, elands, and zebras journey northward from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pasture. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4. Masai Mara National Reserve-Nairobi

On this day, there is no scheduled game drive. Begin your morning with breakfast at 7:20 am, followed by a departure from Masai Mara for Nairobi. Enjoy lunch on the way, and conclude your journey with a drop-off either at the airport or your accommodation in Nairobi.
